New Partnership Pushes Innovation in Bone Implant Technology

January 29, 2024

Advanced Development of Additive Manufacturing (A.D.A.M.) and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have forged a collaboration to propel the field of bone implant technology and healthcare innovation. This partnership unites A.D.A.M.’s cutting-edge 3D printing systems for customized bone implants with the expertise of the renowned Icahn Mount Sinai, a hub of medical education and healthcare excellence.

The collaboration will focus on research and development in 3D printed bone tissues, utilizing A.D.A.M.’s state-of-the-art technology. Additionally, the exploration of soft tissue printing will be a key focus through the establishment of the “Soft Tissues Working Group.”

The agreement encompasses joint efforts between A.D.A.M. and Mount Sinai BioDesign, Icahn Mount Sinai’s medical device innovation incubator. The primary objective is to enhance patient care by revolutionizing bone implant delivery and advancing soft tissue medical device development. Denys Gurak, CEO and Founder of A.D.A.M., expressed optimism, stating, “Our collaboration leverages our advanced medical device production system and Icahn Mount Sinai’s expertise to improve patient care in healthcare.”

Crucially, this collaborative initiative extends to A.D.A.M.’s pilot facility at the Masovian Regional Hospital in Siedlce, Poland. The partnership, rooted in the 2022 Spring Cohort of Mount Sinai Innovation Partners’ Elementa Labs incubator program, signifies a strategic alignment between technology and medical expertise.

In summary, A.D.A.M. and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai are poised to make significant strides in healthcare through their collaborative efforts in advancing bone implant technology and exploring innovative approaches to soft tissue medical device development.
