3D Printed GLYPH Phone Stand Integrates Qi Wireless Charging

Industrial design student Daniel Theurich has recently unveiled his GLYPH Phone Stand with a concealed Qi-standard wireless charging module.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the GLYPH Phone Stand is designed to streamline the cumbersome process of device charging. Theurich’s motivation stemmed from a desire to simplify everyday tasks, eliminating the hassle of constantly plugging and unplugging smartphones.

Despite its unassuming appearance as a single piece of plastic, the GLYPH Phone Stand harbors a sophisticated interior. Its modular design cleverly conceals a 20W Qi-standard wireless charging coil within its structure. This intricate assembly, meticulously designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, comprises multiple components seamlessly integrated to ensure optimal functionality.

The construction process involved a blend of precision and creativity. Each element, meticulously designed and refined, contributed to the stand’s overall elegance and utility. Theurich’s approach has extended beyond conceptualization, as he has meticulously prototyped various designs using 3D printers available at his school.
